The Lord will equip me with everything I need to do His will.
But He isn’t going to equip me with what I think I need in order to be somebody else or do something other than what He has made me to do. He designed me to be me. He put gifts and passions inside of me to direct me into His plan for me.
If it seems I am lacking something, it might not really be that I am lacking something I need. I might be trying to be and do what I am not designed for and lacking for that.
Maybe I need to find my own personal gifts that I already have and do something with them instead of trying to get equipped to do something other than what I am make for or be like everyone else’s thoughts and ideas of what I should be.
The Lord will strengthen, complete, perfect and make me what I ought to be and equip me with everything good that I may carry out His will. He Himself is working in me and accomplishing that which is pleasing in His sight. (Hebrews 13:21)
It is God who is all the while effectually at work in me energizing and creating in me the power and desire both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight (Philippians 2:13).
He gives me the desire to do something for Him; then He empowers me to do it. He doesn’t empower me to do something someone else has the desire for me to do.
