When people lack strength, the pray for strength, ask others to pray for them, or maybe they try to be strong with all their might. When we ask or even beg for strength, we too many times go away without it. Why? Because we don’t believe and receive when we ask or we don’t put into practice the things the Word says concerning strength. Maybe we don’t even know what the Word says about strength.

If we come to the Lord and simply believe all of these things, if we read and do whatever they say, we can accept and expect the strength – every time we need it!

What does the Bible say to do when you need strength?

Nehemiah 8:10 – The joy of the Lord is my strength.  If I need more strength, I need to be filled more with the joy of the Lord. I need to rejoice in the Lord and offer sacrifices of praise and joy.

Psalm 27:1 – The Lord is the strength of my life.   If I need more strength, I need to get more filled with the Lord. If He is my strength, when I am filled with Him, I am filled with strength.

Psalm 8:2 w/Matthew 21:16 – Praise is equated with strength. I put on my strength through praising God.
