Prepare the Way

Prepare the Way for His Glory

Isaiah 40:3-5 – The voice of one crying in the wilderness: prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.  Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought low; the crooked places shall be made straight and the rough places smooth.  Then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

God’s presence is manifested in His glory.  When the way is prepared, when the valleys are exalted and the mountains brought low and the crooked and rough places made straight and smooth, the glory (presence) of the Lord shall be revealed.  When we remove the obstacles, He shows up in His glory.

God wants to move.  God longs to meet needs.  He longs to show Himself real and strong to mankind. If your needs aren’t being met doesn’t mean He doesn’t want to meet them; it means that there is something blocking the flow of His power and His provision in Christ from getting to you.

It may be as simple as lack of knowledge or ignorance. You don’t know what He has provided or you don’t know how to receive it.  He works in our lives according to our knowledge and faith.

It may be something a little more hidden.  But when it is discovered and lined up to His will, the flow of His power will come to you and help and deliver and change you from glory to glory into His presence.

Prepare the way for Him to move!  Prepare the way for Him to move, and He will move.  The more the way is prepared for Him and clear of obstacles, the more He will move.

His will is for you to have and enjoy all that He has provided.  He will is always to meet your needs.  He is moving as much as He can.  He is working in your life as much as He can. Find out what is blocking the flow of His power into your life and remove it, and He will flow right in.

Just as Jesus was limited as to what He could do by people’s unbelief and hard-heartedness, He is hindered today in our lives.  He is in your life as much as possible, and the level isn’t up to Him.  He wants to completely fill all of your life. But it is up to you to prepare His way and remove the obstacles to His will.  Let yourself be filled with the knowledge of God and the Spirit of God.  Let Him so fill you that obstacles and hindrances and carried away in His glory and presence.

There are things we can do to prepare the way for the Lord.

Psalm 50:23 – He who sacrifices thanksgiving honors me and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God.

Psalm 22:3 – He dwells in, inhabits and is enthroned upon our praises.

Prayer and praise and thanksgiving can prepare His way into your life and situation.  Heart-felt praise brings the presence of God on the scene.  He inhabits the praise.  He fills an atmosphere of praise and worship with His reality and glory.

Philippians 4:19 – He liberally supplies and fills to the full my every need out of this riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

All I need comes from Him.  He has provided it all and wants me to have it.  It comes to me through His presence, through a living, powerful communion and relationship with Him.  When the Spirit of the Lord is moving in power and glory, the very atmosphere will work in and through and for me to work His will into me and my situations.  You can’t fulfill God’s will for your life without times in His presence and glory, without being where He is moving and yielding to Him.

Romans 6:4 – Jesus was raised by the glory – the manifested, tangible presence of God.

Romans 8:11 – We too are raised by the Spirit and through the Spirit receive the same life into our bodies to heal us and give us physical strength and to help us overcome the power the flesh has over us.  We walk in the same resurrection power also through the manifested, tangible presence of God.

I’m in Him and He in me and through this union is my strength and victory and power and transformation.  Through this union is everything I desire or could ever need.

Jesus is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature.  The radiance of His glory is like beams of light coming from the presence of God.  Jesus is the light of the world, the light of the glory of God.  The radiance of His glory, the exact representation of God, comes forth in beams of glory from His presence meeting needs and delivering all.

Malachi 4:2 – But unto you who revere and worshipfully fear my name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings and His beams, and you shall go forth and gambol like calves (released) from the stall and leap for joy.

Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost and power and went about doing good and healing all – for God was with Him.  The glory of God is the presence of God doing good, healing all, and meeting needs.

The anointing is what breaks the yokes of bondage.  Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.  We are set free and transformed through tangible times in His presence as well as in times in His Word.  Through the Spirit and through the Word – that is the way that all the good things of God come through into our lives. More on this

I pray my eyes be opened to know what the riches of His glory are.  What I see and know I can grasp and experience.

God makes known the riches of the glory of His mystery – which is Christ in me, the hope of glory.

My hope of glory – Christ in me.  It is His presence in me and through me which brings His glory to me and through me.

Isaiah 10:27 – It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing.  God’s presence destroys yokes of bondage. More on this

2 Corinthians 3:18 – As I spend time with the Lord beholding His glory, the Spirit of the Lord is changing me into the same image from glory to glory – glory that is much more glorious than that which caused the face of Moses to shine in glory – so people can also see with me that I have been with the Lord.

Prepare the Way

Matthew 3:1-3 – In those days there appeared John the Baptist, preaching in the Wilderness (Desert) of Judea and saying, repent (think differently; change your mind, regretting your sins and changing your conduct), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.  This is he who was mentioned by the prophet Isaiah when he said, the voice of one crying in the wilderness (shouting in the desert), prepare the road for the Lord, make His highways straight (level, direct).

Sometimes it is the Word that is needed to prepare the way for something God wants to do.  John the Baptist came preaching.  Sometimes people need to think differently and adjust the way they see things, and what they need to adjust to is found in the word.  If they have believed tradition contrary to the word, it may take a God-anointed teacher to bring out the truth where it can be seen and people can make the necessary adjustments to prepare the way for what the Lord wants to do.

The Lord has been doing this for years.  There is still much to do before the great river of His presence has the free course to flow in the power He desires.

Luke 3:4-6 – As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, the voice of one crying in the wilderness [shouting in the desert]: prepare the way of the Lord, make His beaten paths straight.  Every valley and ravine shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be leveled; and the crooked places shall be made straight, and the rough roads shall be made smooth; And all mankind shall see (behold and understand and at last acknowledge) the salvation of God (the deliverance from eternal death decreed by God).

Prepare the way of the Lord.  Fill every valley, level the mountains and hills, make straight the crooked places, make smooth the rough roads – so that all mankind shall see the salvation of God.

Zechariah 4:6-7 – Then he said to me, this is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.  What are you, O great mountain?  Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts of grace, grace to it.

Mark 11:23 – Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be taken up and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him.

Mountains can be leveled and removed by words.
