KEY: We can only lead the congregation in as far as we go – only into what we personally know and experience. You must personally be a worshiper. How can you lead someone into where you don’t know the way?
How to enter:
Psalm 100:4-5 – Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and bless His name.
Psalm 22:3 – The Lord inhabits our true heart felt praises.
Concentration on God is very important – but also eye contact with the people. You need to not just enter into worship yourself but also take them with you. It takes discipline to do it, but it is worthwhile. Experience the song. Realize and experience what the words mean while singing.
FLOW is also very important.
Psalm 46:4 – There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of the city; it shall not be moved. God will help it when the morning dawns.
John 7:38 – and let the one who believes in me drink. As the scripture has said, out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water. Now He said this about the Spirit…
God’s river is always flowing. To flow along with this river you must listen and cooperate with the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 14:40 – God has an order of things to be followed in general and for each service. We must listern and determine what this is and follow it to enter into the high places of worship and praise.
Songs should flow smoothly, using things like key, theme and tempo. Songs should flow from one to another without awkward pauses or uncertainty.
