The Ministry of Jesus

Why Am I Not Healed? I Believe in Healing

Week 3 – The Healing Ministry of Jesus

Jesus Expressed God’s Will. He came to show us what God is like. He was God in Action.

Hebrews 1:1-3 – God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature…

God spoke in the Old Testament in portions of truth, but in the New Testament He revealed Himself completely and clearly through the Son. What we see in Jesus is the true and complete picture of God. How Jesus reacted to sickness and sick people is God in the flesh.

Colossians 1:15 – Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God.

John 1:14, 17-18 – And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time; God the only Son, who is in the arms of the Father, He has explained Him.

Acts 10:38 – Jesus went about healing all because God was with Him. This is what God does.

Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever.

He also never told people to stay sick because God was working out something in their lives or that it wasn’t the time. Today is the day of salvation.

If you want to know God’s will, look at Jesus. Jesus in every instance acted out God’s will for mankind. Whatever you see Jesus doing for others, HE WILL DO FOR YOU! He is no respecter of persons.

All – Every

Matthew 4:23-25 – Every kind of disease, every kind of sickness, all who were ill were healed.

Matthew 8:16-17 – They brought to Him many who were sick; He healed them all.

Matthew 9:35-10:1 – Healing every kind of disease and sickness. He even sent out more workers to do the same.

Matthew 12:15 – Many followed Him, and He healed them all.

Matthew 14:14 – He saw a great multitude and healed their sick.

Matthew 14:34-36 – They brought to Him all who were sick. As many as touched Him were healed.

Matthew 15:30-31 – Great multitudes came, and He healed them.

Luke 4:40-42 – They brought all. He laid hands on all and healed them.

Luke 6:17-19 – A great multitude of disciples and a throng of people came to hear and be healed. Power was coming from Him and healing them all.

There wasn’t one in any of these multitudes that God wanted to patiently remain sick for His glory – or for any other reason.

The Lord’s Compassion

Jesus didn’t primarily heal to prove He was the Son of God or to show His power. He healed because He actually cares about the sick people. And He is still the same today.

God IS love. Compassion is an outward expression of God Himself. Compassion carries the power and presence of God when released. God’s name and nature is Healer.

FF Bosworth – In His earthly ministry, Jesus was everywhere moved with compassion and healed all who had need of healing.  Faith will rise mountain high when the truth of God’s present love and compassion begins to dawn upon the minds and hearts of the people. If we want to please God, we should remove all the obstacles out of the way of the exercise of His benevolence. His compassion is the same today. As He looks upon our infirmities, He is still moved with compassion and yearns to help us.

Many scriptures mention His compassion regarding healing.

Mark 1:40-45 – Jesus was moved with compassion and healed the leper, expressing His willingness in words.

Matthew 14:13-14 – The multitudes followed Him. He was moved with compassion and healed their sick.

Matthew 20:29-34 – He had mercy upon the blind men by healing them.

Mark 5:19-20 – The Lord had compassion and healed a man from demon possession.

Matthew 15:30-31 – A multitude came containing many sick. Jesus had compassion upon them and healed them and fed them.

Matthew 9:35-10:28 – He saw the multitudes and was moved with compassion on them because they were weary and scattered like sheep having no shepherd. He told His disciples to pray for more laborers to follow His example to have compassion on others and to release it by preaching the Gospel and healing sickness and disease.

Luke 7:11-17 – He had compassion upon the woman whose son had died and rose him up and healed him.

God always was the Healer. He is still the healer and will always be the Healer. Healing is for YOU. Jesus healed all that came to Him. He never turned anyone away. He never said that it is not God’s will to heal anyone or that it was better for the individual to remain sick or that they were being perfected in character through the sickness. He healed them ALL, thereby demonstrating FOREVER God’s unchangeable will concerning sickness.

Activations

  • Write down these scriptures and go over them regularly.
  • Speak them to yourself.
  • Ask the Lord what you need to focus on and feed on that aspect of healing.
  • Purposely and intentionally believe what God has said.
  • Replace your old ways of thinking with truth.
  • Expect god to treat you as Jesus treated people in the Bible.

If you will take the time to go over these things and do the activations every week, your life will begin to be transformed. If you continue to do them, you can grow to the place where health is more normal to you than sickness, weakness, and disease.
