Why Are You So Sin Conscious?

The other night the Lord woke me up at 3 am to say the below things to me. There are probably others who think the same way. That is why I am sharing.

“Why are you so sin conscious? Why do you always want to discuss your short comings? Why do you feel like you have to start your prayers with why you aren’t worthy?”

Your whole life viewpoint has been focused more on what you fall short in than who you are.

You are far too sin conscious.

You keep going to God telling Him what is wrong with you instead of delighting with Him in who you are and His plans for you and through you.

This has to stop!

When you go to God, find out what He wants to talk about.

When you go to God, talk about what you really want to talk about.

What is the scripture to back this?

Hebrews 10:1-4 – FOR SINCE the Law has merely a rude outline (foreshadowing) of the good things to come—instead of fully expressing those things—it can never by offering the same sacrifices continually year after year make perfect those who approach [its altars]. For if it were otherwise, would [these sacrifices] not have stopped being offered? Since the worshipers had once for all been cleansed, they would no longer have any guilt or consciousness of sin. But [as it is] these sacrifices annually bring a fresh remembrance of sins[to be atoned for], Because the blood of bulls and goats is powerless to take sins away.

The Bible says the blood of Jesus purged our sins – they no longer exist – we must drive out all sin consciousness in Jesus name! Righteousness is the ability to stand in the presence of God without a sense of sin, guilt and condemnation.

He dealt with my sin completely because He wanted to.

He so wanted me to be able to draw near to Him and enjoy daily fellowship with Him that He did what it took – at the price of His life and blood!

Hebrews 10:10 – By God’s will I have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus once for all.

Hebrews 10:12 – Jesus offered one sacrifice for sins for all time…

Hebrews 10:14 – By this one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.

Hebrews 10:18 – Where remission is, there is no more offering for sins. Once a debt has been paid, no more payment can be made.

Hebrews 9:14- By the blood of Christ who offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, my conscience is purified from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the living God. My conscience is cleansed from the deadness of my former ways and I am fit for the service of the living God.

My sins are gone because of what He has done.

A couple of days later, I got more on this.

I No Longer Fall Short

I heard this as I awoke this morning. I no longer fall short. It may have once been true, but it is no longer true. So, all sense of falling short has to go, all feelings of inadequacy; they have to be destroyed and eliminated so that I can walk with Him in the wonderful relationship He desires.

Romans 3:21-26 – But now apart from the Law ( it is no longer a matter of behavior) the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

The sense of falling short has been a part of me most of my life. But God has cured it. I have been justified and made righteous by the gift of His grace.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus. He is my justifier.

He took care of the falling short part by justifying me and making me righteous in Jesus, my justifier.

(Phillips NT) – But now we are seeing the righteousness of God declared quite apart from the Law (though amply testified to by both Law and Prophets) – it is a righteousness imparted to, and operating in, all who have faith in Jesus Christ. (For there is no distinction to be made anywhere: everyone has sinned, everyone falls short of the beauty of God’s plan.) Under this divine system a man who has faith is now freely acquitted in the eyes of God by his generous dealing in the redemptive act of Jesus Christ.

God has appointed him as the means of propitiation, a propitiation accomplished by the shedding of his blood, to be received and made effective in ourselves by faith. God has done this to demonstrate his righteousness both by the wiping out of the sins of the past (the time when he withheld his hand), and by showing in the present time that he is a just God and that he justifies every man who has faith in Jesus Christ.

In His wonderful plan of redemption, I no longer fall short of the beauty of God’s plan.

Under His divine system, because I have faith I am NOW FREELY ACQUITTED in the eyes of God by His generous dealing.

Jesus is the means of my propitiation, accomplished by the shedding of His blood and made effective in me by faith.

(PassionNTPsa) – But now, independently of the law, the righteousness of God is tangible and brought to light through Jesus, the Anointed One. This is the righteousness that the Scriptures prophesied would come. It is God’s righteousness made visible through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. And now all who believe in him receive that gift. For there is really no difference between us, for we all have sinned and are in need of the glory of God. Yet through his powerful declaration of acquittal, God freely gives away his righteousness. His gift of love and favor now cascades over us, all because Jesus, the Anointed One, has liberated us from the guilt, punishment, and power of sin!

I no longer fall short. I believe in Him and have received His gift of righteousness which God freely gives away. His gift of love and favor now cascade over me – all because Jesus has liberated me from guilt, punishment and the power of sin.
